Aline "Snoot" Cates Sherwood died at her residence on Thursday, April 9, 2010 at the age of 96. She was a native of Sardis, LA , formerly a resident of Port Arthur, TX (1938-1984) and Palestine, TX (1984-1991) and a resident of Kenner for the past 19 years. Beloved wife of the late Samuel L. Sherwood. Mother of Bobby H. and the late Samuel Maurice Sherwood. Daughter of the late Brett and Ouida Keys Cates. Sister of Wilson Cates and the late Herbert and Boyd Cates, and Betty Lou Rascoe. Grandmother of Chris Sherwood and the late Mark and Jeff Sherwood. Great grandmother of Melanie, Daniel and Justin Sherwood. Great-great-grandmother of Cameryn and Tristyn Sherwood.
