Obit
Anna Peterson Lites, 71, of Many died on Jan. 5 at Sabine Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 19, 1937 in Converse to Emily Pugh and David Peterson Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Many. The Reverends Steve Kelly and Bruce Webb will officiate.
Ms. Lites retired in 1987 from the Louisiana Dept. of Family Services. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Many and enjoyed memberships with the Eastern Star, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Many Pilot Club, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the Sabine Humane Society. She also served on the board of The ARC of Sabine.
She was preceded in death by ,her parents, David and Emily Pugh Peterson; and husband, Edwin R. Lites.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Rae Lites Byrd of Shreveport; brother, David Peterson Jr. arid wife, Mary, of Alexandria; brother-in-law, Charles Mains and wife, Verda; grandchild, Emilee Mariah Byrd; two nephews, Glen and Jay; and four nieces, Bonnie, Paula, Nancy, and Rhonda.
