Elizabeth Glory Hope Colley Farley, 83, a resident of Shreveport, LA, went home to be with Our Heavenly Father, December 27th, 2012, surrounded by family, while at her residence.
She was born in Beaumont, TX, October 13th, 1929, the daughter of Carroll Charles Colley Sr. and Elizabeth Hope Merriweather Colley. Glory spent her youth in Lafayette, LA before moving to Shreveport, LA, after being married to William F. Farley.
Glory was full of passion, especially, for the arts of painting and music and in her love for her Lord and Savior, Our Heavenly Father. She never knew a stranger or turned her back to someone in need. Glory greeted most with a smile that would illuminate any darkness. Her fun loving, playful, free spirit touched many lives. She loved to explore her world and the marvels of nature. Her spontaneous personality created many adventures. These and so many other gifts were conveyed to her children and grandchildren whom will fulfill her legacy, while missing her dearly.
She was survived by her devoted husband, William F. Farley; children, Joseph L. Lemoine, Jr., Elizabeth Glory Hope Lemoine, Mary Grace Lemoine, John Darrell Farley, Bill Anthony Farley, and Mamie Beth Farley; brother, Carroll Charles Colley Jr.; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family of Glory wishes to thank Dr. Richard Sipes of Cardinal Care, New Horizons, STAT Home Health, and St. Joseph Hospice. Very special thanks to David and Pam Hagar and Carolyn Phipps who worked tirelessly to keep her comfortable through her last breath.
Services will be private.
