Graveside services celebrating the life of Starr LaRue Caton will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Buck Furlow. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.
Starr was born March 13, 1953 in Birmingham, AL and passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center LifeCare.
She was employed with Horseshoe Casino where she had many friends. Starr enjoyed photography, the outdoors, and her family was her love. Each of them will miss her dearly, but are comforted knowing she is with her God and the suffering is gone. Starr fought a good fight and was an inspiration to her family.
Her husband, Jerry Caton, and brother, Terry Skelton, preceded Starr in death. Beautiful memories will be shared by her son, Kenny Melvin and wife, Laniece; daughters, Tracey Davidson
and husband, James, and Destinee Caton; loving grandchildren, Koby, Kaden, Kaleigh, Raven, Reilley, Mackenzie, and Cameron; sister, Glenda Entrekin; brother, Punk Skelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
