Funeral services celebrating the life of Edward Alvin Howe, age 70 of Mooringsport, La will be held Monday August 30, 2010 at 10:00 am at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, La with Rev. Scott Young, pastor of Mooringsport Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Mooringsport Memorial Gardens in Mooringsport, La. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, La on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 6-8 pm.
Mr. Howe was born in Pioneer, La on June 24, 1940 to his parents, Ernest and Elma Howe and passed away on August 26, 2010 at Whispering Pine Nursing Home in Plain Dealing, La after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Mooringsport for 35 years, a retired diesel mechanic for Sportran with over 20 years of service, a US Navy Veteran and a Baptist.
Mr. Howe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Yvonne Howe of Mooringsport, La, son, Edward (Bubba) Howe and wife, Linda of Blanchard, La, daughters, Yvette Howe Christian and husband, James, Debbie Howe Smith and husband, Steve both of Mooringsport, La, Sherry Howe Rivers and husband, Shane of Keithville, La. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
