Sue Ann “Kookie” Scoggin, 58 of Mooringsport, Louisiana passed away on December 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the service starts at the funeral home.
Sue was born on June 18, 1960 in Shreveport, La to Robert and Doris Smith. She lived most of her life in Mooringsport. She loved gardening and her flowers. She enjoyed going camping and fishing. She loved her dog, Barbarosa, but most of all she loved her family especially her nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in death by her mother, Doris Drake, her grand-parents Roberta and Morris Drake, her aunts Oleta and Onita, her uncle Harry Drake and her boyfriend Paul Garcia. She is survived by her sisters, Tammy Jackson and husband Tommy (Meatball) of Mooringsport, LA and Alicia Vice and husband Geoff of Blanchard, LA, her brothers, Jesse (Butch) Magnini of Mooringsport, LA, John Carter, Edward Carter of Denver, CO and Frank Carter of Booneville, AR, her best friend Shelly Shy, and friend Michael Scoggin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Krista Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Pyper Vice and Jesse (Bubba) Magnini, her great-nieces, Avery Long and Presliegh Bolgiano, and her great nephew, Tanner Adams.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Jackson, Gary Harrison, Randy Adams, Todd Cowan, David Howe, and Gene Fair.
