Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Rynders Fillingim, 66, of Mooringsport, LA passed away on June 21, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev. Kevin Moore. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Friday, June 23rd at the funeral home.
Debbie was born January 16, 1957 in Holly Springs, MS to William Edward “Bill” Rynders and Sarah Boone Rynders. She was a member of North Shreve Baptist Church. She was a teacher and later a librarian at Vivian Middle School. She loved to go shopping, and she loved to read.
Preceding her in death was her husband Rodney Fillingim, her parents Bill and Sarah Rynders, her in laws, Sid and Virgie Fillingim, and her brother in law Butch Fillingim.
Debbie is survived by her children; Ashley Fillingim of Mooringsport, and Brett Fillingim (Misty) of Mooringsport, her sister Sheila Rynders of Mooringsport, her grandchildren; Madison, McKinley, Will, and Marlie Fillingim, her Uncles, Richard Boone of Athens, GA, and Jack Rynders (Joyce) of Malvern, AR, her Aunts, Pat Boone of Ashland, MS, Janie Boone of Hornlake, MS, and Juanita Hardin of Malvern, AR.
The family would like to thank Belinda “Sissy” Arnold for her help and care during this time.
Pallbearers will be William Moore, Terry Taylor, Harry Cogley, James “Gomer” Pyle, Eugene Tunstall, and Steve Eakin. Honorary pallbearer is James Thomas.
