SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for Helen L. Moss Valentine, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at King's Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Rd., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Hudspeth. Entombment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Rose-Neath Southside.

Helen was born May 20, 1928 in Arcadia, LA to Richard and Dora Moss. She passed away on July 25, 2013 in Shreveport. She was a member of King's Temple United Pentecostal Church. She loved crocheting, reading the Bible, cooking, and her flower garden.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Perry Valentine; one brother and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Joe Coley and wife, Arlene, Danny Valentine and wife, Renee; Lindell Valentine and wife, Robbie; daughters, Janet V. Trimble and husband, Roger and Madonna V. Kelly; grandchildren, Christy Coley Waldrop, Carlan Coley, Chase Coley, Bridget Valentine Custer, Tiffany Valentine Montoya, Davis Kelly, and Katelyn Valentine; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Dick Moss, Jr. and wife, Frankie, and sister, Mary Ellen Baker.

Pallbearers will be Cole Owen, Taylor Owen, Larry Owen, Davis Kelly, Carlan Coley and Chase Coley. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Custer and Jay Montoya.
