MSGT Sheilah Jeannine Player (USAF) was born at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland May 15, 1976 to SMSGT Lynwood L Player, Sr. USAF Retired and Shirley J Player. At the age of 4 Sheilah and her family relocated to Carswell Air Force Base in Ft Worth Texas where she attended Benbrook Elementary. Her family later relocated to Sacramento, California where she accepted Christ at an early age, she attended Dudley Elementary and later attended Center High School where she graduated in 1994. She relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico with her parents. She began her military career in May of 1996 as a Medical Technician Journeyman in the United States Air Force. She later married Jimmy Lucas of Mississippi to which two kids, Troi Lucas and Alex Lucas were born. In 1999 Sheilah was appointed Medical Aero Evacuation team lead, assisting in operations around the world. Currently she was serving as the NCOIC of the Commander Action Group at Lackland AFB, Texas.

In 2010 she divorced and later met her current fiancé SMSGT Keith Castille (USAF), to whom she had planned to wed in July 2015, and live happily with his three sons and her son and daughter.

During her 17 (+) years military career she traveled extensively throughout the United States, the Pacific and Europe. She invested in the many people around her, not only to make them better, but also to enhance the value of her own life. She received numerous accolades for her accomplishments but whole-heartedly believed it was a team effort that helped to make the Air Force better.

She leaves to mourn, her loving children, Troi Alexandria Player-Lucas, Tristan Alex-zander Lucas, her loving parents SMSGT Lynwood L. Player Sr., Shirley J Player (Dallas, Texas), two loving brothers, Lynwood L Player, Jr (Shreveport, Louisiana), Tracy A Player, (Christine-wife, Sacramento, California), loving grandmother Mrs Helen M Bell (Shreveport, Louisiana) and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family, along with many friends, has lost a wonderful human being. Her passions were her children, family, shopping, traveling, sports, reading and writing. Sheilah also loved spending time with her friends. She loved to make others happy, her sense of humor, beautiful smile, kind heart and love of life will be greatly missed for she was truly one of a kind.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Winnfield Funeral Home, 3701 Hollywood Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Entombment will follow Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Family visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Winnfield Funeral Home.
