SHREVEPORT, LA- Graveside services for Ethel Clanton Ford, 90, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday October 22, 2012 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Moore. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Ethel was born on May 23, 1922 in Zwolle, LA to Claude Cleveland and Alice Drucilla Lee Clanton. She passed away at the Grace Home on October 19, 2012. She was a resident of Shreveport and a homemaker. She was a Baptist. She was co-owner along with her husband and brother and sister-in-law of Ford Brothers Clothing Store in Cedar Grove from 1948 until 1965. She also enjoyed Ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, G.E. Ford, brothers, V.A. Clanton, and wife, Doris, Claude E. Clanton and wife, Viola, Robert C. Clanton and wife, Louise, Jack W. and J. Reese; sisters, Thelma C. Trangmar, Virginia Nell and Mary Alice Clanton. She is survived by her special niece who lived with her for the past 15 years, Carolyn Plants and numerous other nieces and nephews.
