August 4, 1946 - January 4, 2014
Shreveport, LA. - A celebration of the life of Margaret Hodges Hostetler will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 7, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Father John Thomas. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery; St. Vincent Ave. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday January 6, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street. Margaret was born on August 4, 1946 in Shreveport, LA. and passed away on January 4, 2014 after a brief illness.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Maggie Belle and Jack Hodges.
She is survived by her husband, Milton, of 32 years; Sons, Lee Stallcup and wife, Lisa; Jack Stallcup and wife, JJ; Stepsons, James Hostetler and Charles Hostetler; Brothers, Andy Hodges and wife, Gwen; Lamar Hodges and wife, Ann; Grandchildren, Anthony, Addison, Cole and Cade Stallcup and Jake Hostetler. Also left to cherish her memory is a niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.
Margaret retired as assistant regional coordinator of the Louisiana Department of Tourism Welcome Center at Greenwood. She loved meeting people, telling them about the sights of our state and touring the state with other tourist counselors. She also enjoyed going camping at Lake Catherine and working with her plants at their camp on Lake Bistineau.
The family especially wants to thank Jennifer Angelo, Nurse Nina, Dr. Christopher Sneed, Dr. Roscoe Chan, Dr. David Cavanaugh and all the nurses and staff at the Grace Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA. 71101 or charity of donor's choice.
