Anthony “Tony” Rossi of Shreveport passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 13, 2021.

A visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021 with a service starting at 1:30 pm. Officiating will be Fr. Karl Daigle of St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.

Tony was a resident of Shreveport for 16 years. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany while his parents were stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base. Tony was the fifth of ten Rossi children. In south Louisiana, he worked for many years at Farmers Feed Mill. He and his wife started Café Rossi, on False River, where he was able to share his love of cooking and making sure all their guests had a memorable dining experience.

Tony eventually landed with Cecil Graves Chevrolet GMC in St. Francisville where his life-long career of selling cars took off. Tony always loved cars, so this was a dream come true.

In 2005, Tony, with his family, moved back to his hometown of Shreveport and started Rossi Auto Plex. He was a natural "people person," so it was no surprise he made so many friends during his 20+ years in this industry.

Mr. Rossi was preceded in death by his father, Dominic Rossi as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Daphne Love Rossi; daughters, Caroline and Taylor Rossi; son, Jared Rossi; his mother, JoAnn Rossi; sisters, Connie Rossi Pourciau and Anglea Rossi; brothers, Randy Rossi, Nick Rossi, Michael Rossi, Jay Rossi, Don Rossi, David Rossi and Dean Rossi; grandchildren, Dominick Anthony Rossi, Ava Faith Rossi and Elsie Violet Prothro and his loyal, furry friend, Maggie.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Graves, Donnie Mars, Stuart Parkerson, Christopher Pourciau, Ryan Pourciau and Curtis Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St Joseph Catholic Church or St Joseph Catholic School.
