Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. Jackie Delores Mattson went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 15, 2019. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on November 2, 1937 to Osey & Eleanora Joshlin. She was a native of Shreveport and lived in Mooringsport since the early 1980\'s. She is preceded in death by her husband Murray M. Mattson and her baby sister Charlene Cato. She leaves behind many family members to cherish her memory. Her sons, Andrew M. Mattson, Edward Z. Mattson & wife Julie of Baton Rouge; and Jonathan M. Mattson of Mooringsport. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Zackary C. Mattson; Samantha Mattson; Elizabeth Mattson Vences; Darla Mattson; Jacob Mattson; Heather Twinings & Joshua Mattson. She had two great grandchildren; Emma & Jordan. She also had a very special and loving relationship with each of her siblings, Patsy J. Boone & husband Charles; Janice Dinkins & husband John; Osey R. Joshlin & wife Chetene; Beth Kirkland & husband Tommy. She attended Mooringsport Baptist Church and always talked lovingly about her Sunday school class. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA with Rev. William Kincaid officiating.
