Funeral services for Mr. Charles William Jordan, 83, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian with Rev. Bill Treadway officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 24th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Jordan was born October 12, 1937 in Winnfield, LA to the late Austin H. Jordan and Willie Mae (Taylor) Jordan. He passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 in Vivian, LA. He was a member of the Mt Gilead Baptist Church Vivian, LA and a member of the Mooringsport Masonic Lodge. He also attended Northview Assembly of God in Shreveport, LA. He retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. A few of his hobbies were fishing, hunting and working in the garden. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, sister LaMay Alford and wife of 45 years Mary Ruth (Walker) Jordan. He is survived by his wife Shelia (Hays) Jordan of 14 years, daughters Mary Ann Medlin and husband Don, and Susan Friday and husband Bruce, and brother James Jordan and wife Gwen. Step-sons Michael Bryan Edwards, and John Eric Edwards and wife Natasha. Also survived by his grandchildren Charles and Heather-Lynn Medlin, Kevin and Katie Medlin, Toby and Mollie Jones, Skyi Jones and Chelsea Adkison, Lazarus Wright and Sarra Colton, Chrystina and Michael Lewis, Bradley Friday, Felicia and Lynn Powell, Brittany Friday and Justin Whitney. Along with 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Mr. Jordan as pallbearers will be Kevin Medlin, Toby Jones, Lazarus Wright, Glen Alford, Bradley Friday and James Moore. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the North Caddo Medical Center, along with the support of family and friends.
