Funeral services for Daisy Bennett, 76, of West Monroe, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene of Community Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.Mrs. Bennett died August 19, 2015 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was a long time member of Good Hope Baptist Church in West Monroe. For the past 36 years, Mrs. Bennett along with her husband have owned and operated The Book Rack in Monroe and formerly owned Book Rack West. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and willingness to give anything she could to anyone she knew.Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, William Bridges 'Bill' Young and Daisy McKenzie Young.Survivors include her husband of 56 years, H.B. Bennett; sons Bruce Bennett and wife Penny from Nashville, TN; Tim Bennett and wife Regina from Benton, AR; and daughter Darby Bennett Hollingsworth and husband Chris from West Monroe; grandchildren, Kyleigh Bennett, Timmy Bennett and Gage Hollingsworth; sisters Lovie Jean Gray and Gerry Hall, as well as a host of extended family and friends.Pallbearers will be Chris Hollingsworth, Chris Antley, Joshua Hall, Timmy Bennett, Wayne Jackson, Jarrett Spurgeon, Randy Morris, and Steve Hall.Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
