Funeral services for Eron Monroe Cooper, Jr, age 78 of Dubach, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach with Rev Walt Brown and Rev Connie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, Louisiana.

Eron was born January 10, 1944 to Audrey Maudell Jordan and Eron Monroe Cooper, Sr in Chatham, Louisiana, and he passed away September 8, 2022 in Ruston. He was a US Army veteran and served for his country during Vietnam. Eron was also a supervisor for Exxon Mobil in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 35 years and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He married Susan Cooper in Ruston during September of 1981. Eron was preceded in death by his wife Susan Cooper; parents; sister Bonnie Cooper; daughter Robin Cooper; daughter-in-law Tobie Cooper; brother Max Cooper and nephew Josh Hillman.

Eron is survived by sisters Debbie and husband Bill Waltz and Peggy and husband Tony Bennett; son Eric Cooper; granddaughter Faith Cooper; stepdaughters: Wendy Simmers, Tammy Simmers and Jennifer Simmers; stepson Scott Simmers and numerous step-grand -children, family, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Waltz, Phillip Waltz, John Waltz, Jeré Cooper, Davey Hillman and Ethan Simmers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Durrett, Jr, Tommy Durrett, III, Taylor Durrett, Scott Simmers, Charlie Taylor, Grady Bagwell, John Brown, Rodney Ebeyer and Brian Lowrey.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church.
