SHREVEPORT, LA - God called Barbara "Kay" Green home to be with him on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Graveside services will be held for Barbara at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, 6476 Hwy 151, Dubach, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Murry Hodge. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Kay was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and loved spending time with Mary Byers Sunday School Class. How blessed our family was to have such a devoted servant of God who would reach out to help anyone. Kay was born on January 30, 1938 in Winn Parish, LA to JT Neal and Ruth Hammons Neal. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Green, sisters, Billie Lawless and Rowena Siddon, and her brother, Gerald Neal. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kaylene Hand and husband, David, Jeri Whitley and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Kaydee Ruth Johnson, Nick Johnson, Monroe Hand, Kalie Hand, and Myles Hand; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Honoring Kay as pallbearers will be Monroe Hand, Myles Hand, Nick Johnson, David Hand, and Johnny Neal. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dottie Tabor and Betty Hassell, for being wonderful friends through the years.
