SHREVEPORT, LA - Memorial services for Susan Elizabeth Richards McQueen, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.
Officiating will be Monsignor Earl Provenza. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Susan was born on November 14, 1942 in Atlanta, TX to E.E Richards and Dena Krause Richards and passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on August 3, 2015. She was a dedicated and long-standing member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Susan retired from Swepco after 25 years of faithful service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Karen McQueen Burt. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Edward McQueen; son, Keith Edward McQueen and wife, Julia; daughter, Kellie McQueen Taylor and husband, Cliff; son-in-law, Richard Burt; grandchildren, Kelsey Schwab and husband, Nate, Courtney Matlock, Charley Taylor and Kaitlin McQueen; brother, Jerry Richards and wife, Rose Theresa and sister Pamela Whyte and husband, Roy; several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to Monsignor Earl Provenza and Patricia Lachle for all their kindness and support.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.
