Funeral services for Minerva Whitfield Little, 88, will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Bob Moore. Minerva was born on November 8, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William Arthur Whitfield and Lillie May Clemens and passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Minerva was a resident of Shreveport and worked at Texas Eastern Credit Union for over 30 years. She was a member of Pine Croft Baptist Church. In her younger days, she loved to bowl and enjoyed reading. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy in her life! She loved spending time with her entire family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Minerva is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Wayne, William, Jack and Mack. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Billie Martin, Rita Little and Bill Little; sister, Rita Stevens; brother, Don Whitfield; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Honoring Minerva as pallbearers are Don Whitfield, Jr., David Whitfield, Brian Stevens, Robert Stevens, Randall Stevens and Josh Grubbs. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
