SHREVEPORT - John Raymond Perrin passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2014, after a well fought fight against cancer. John was born to Stanley and Doris Perrin of England on April 19, 1934. He served in the British Royal Navy - Fleet Air Arm for two years. He was retired from AT&T where he was active in Junior Achievement, helping young children.

John is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Doris Perrin; brother, Dennis Perrin. Left with happy memories are his wife of 59 years Maisie Perrin of Shreveport, LA; sister, Norma Smith of Australia; sister, Frances Bell of England; brothers-in-law David Holland and Ray Broomfield of England; sister-in-law Marie Holland, Mary Dennison of Shreveport, LA; niece, Elaine Brakefield and husband Eric of Shreveport; Pam Short and husband Blanchard of Shreveport, LA; several nieces, nephews and cousins Pam and Carol, great nieces, beautiful Heather and precious Jessie.

He was a loving husband and devoted brother. John loved traveling and pottering around in his little English garden.

Visitation with the family will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 followed by the Memorial Service which will begin at 2:00pm in The Wellman's Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplains Keith Adcock and Mary Preziosi.

Memorials may be made to Christus Schumpert Hospice, Grace Home or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Robert Massingill & Staff, Dr. David Green & staff, The Chemo Team who were really special to him, Christus Schumpert Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care. Also grateful thanks to special friend Bill Newman.
