Shreveport, LA - Elizabeth (Clohosey) Bodenheimer was born September 26, 1919, in Orange, NJ, the last of eight children to Thomas Addison and Laura (Cassady) Clohosey. She died June 18, after a brief illness. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's College with a B.A. in French and taught for a year at Bucknell. Realizing how much she loved to dance, she went to New York City and taught dancing for Arthur Murray Studios. While performing at a summer resort in Sea Island, Georgia, she met G. M. Bodenheimer, who was on leave from the Air Force. They married September 5, 1945. Besides dancing, she loved to play bridge, go shopping, eat chocolate, and above all, be with members of her extensive family. She was a devout parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for 57 years.
Mrs. Bodenheimer was predeceased by G. M. Bodenheimer, her husband of 49 years. She is survived by her four children: Elizabeth (Don) Lewis of Beaufort, SC, James (Connie) Bodenheimer of Shreveport, Ann Fleming of Chicago, IL, and Laura Bodenheimer of Houston, TX. She had 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Father Richard J. Lombard and Father Thomas Elavunkal will con-celebrate a Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 22, at 12:30pm. Entombment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Benjamin Beach, James Bodenheimer, Matthew Fleming, Wesley Knight, Alan Lewis and Philip Lewis.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, June 21, from 5:30-7:00pm at Osborn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to charities of your choosing.
