Mr. Thomas P. Hyde of Shreveport went to heaven on Sat. Jan. 3, 2015. He was born in Winfield, LA to the late Thomas and Isla Hyde on Sept. 7, 1927. Tommy graduated from Winfield High School. He served in the US Navy from 1944-46. He was married to Lillian Bernadine Crain. He ran his own painting business for over 50 years. His family will mostly miss his songs and stories. Tommy loved to play piano and guitar and often wrote songs for his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife Bernadine, daughter Gloria Hyde Hillman, sister Genae Butler and grandchildren Danielle Miller, Dylan Hillman, Lesli Reeves, Cody Hillman and Hannah Hillman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 07 at Southern Funeral Home, from 1:00 PM until services.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. John Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Winnfield City Cemetery, in Winnfield.
