LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Time Pending in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Shirley T. Richardson, age 65, the former Shirley Trahan, who passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. at her daughter's residence in Carencro.

Brother Tommy Faulk, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Youngsville, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Richardson was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette.

Survivors include her husband, James Ray Richardson, Sr. of Lafayette; two sons, James Richardson, Jr., of Austin, TX and Jeremy Trahan and his wife, Jasmine, of Duson; one daughter, Melissa Dutton and her husband, Todd, of Carencro; four grandchildren, Kendal Dutton, Destiny Richardson, Akira Trahan and Toni Trahan; one brother, Donald Trahan of Scott; and four sisters, Julia Moore and her husband, George, of Maurice, Betty Guidry of Opelousas, Linda Smith and her husband, Johnny, of Mire and Cheryl Miller and her husband, Roy Lee, of Lake Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janus Trahan and the former, Zuella Mae Aucoin, both natives of Lafayette; five brothers, Hubert Trahan, Howard Trahan, Ernest Trahan,

Paul Trahan and Rodney Trahan; and one sister, Barbara Savoie.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
