LAFAYETTE - A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Adam Ross Reed, age 25, who died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Memorial Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Elaine Domingue Reed; his brother, Ashton and his wife, Rebecca; his sister, Ali (Sr. Malia Grace); his maternal grandmother, Clara Domingue; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Mabel Reed; maternal grandfather, Carroll Domingue; and maternal uncle, Robin Domingue.
Adam was born in Lafayette on April 29, 1988 to Donald Reed of Basile and Elaine Domingue Reed of Lafayette. He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School and was a certified paramedic with Acadian Ambulance.
Adam was best known for his infectious smile and contagious laughter. His quick wit and talent for impersonations frequently left the room in stitches. His conversations were filled with movie quotes and references which were reflective of his eclectic movie collection. He especially enjoyed family gatherings with his aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins. He loved his job at Acadian Ambulance and found great company among his coworkers, especially his partners, Cody and Shane. His hard work and hard play were often followed up by a nap on the couch with his Border Collie, Lucky.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday evening in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Monsignor Russell Harrington.
Special thanks to Acadian Ambulance for providing the wonderful work environment which brought such joy to Adam and to his closest friends who provided him with ceaseless love and support.
