Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Rebecca Ann Reed, 31, who died Friday, January 27, 2006 at her residence in Lafayette.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Reverend Larry Wilkes will officiate the funeral services.Survivors include her parents, Monty Reed and Diane Magee Reed; her friend and life partner, Anne Sahuc; her pet, "Bacchus"( Easter Bunny); one Godchild, Kolby Connolly; one aunt Betty Reed and Uncle Mike; her paternal grandmother, Martha Smith; and her maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Wooten.She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clinton Wooten and her paternal grandfather, William C. Reed.A native of Columbus, Mississippi and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Rebecca was a loving daughter, granddaughter, and friend to everyone who knew her. She had a passion for helping people, and loved working with Hospice patients. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her friends and extended family with whom she loved. Rebecca will be sorely missed not only by her friends and family, but by all of those whose lives she has touched throughout the years. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
