Lafayette - A Christian Mass Funeral Service will be celebrated Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette for Kermit Patrick Boudreaux, 82, who passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette.
Visitation will be observed on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and resumes Monday, September 26, 2016 at 8:00 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette .
Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette.
The Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in New Iberia, LA, will officiate.
Kermit was born September 19, 1934 in Opelousas, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. He began a custom sign company in 1968, which is better known today as Universal Sign Company. Kermit's hard work and dedication gave him 50 beautiful years in the sign industry.
Kermit was active in his community and belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council 4683, served as a Grand Knight, and financial secretary of the Fourth Degree Knights. He was an avid camper and enjoyed every opportunity to do so. Most of all, Kermit loved spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Kermit is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Eva Boudreaux of Lafayette; his son, Dewey Boudreaux and his wife, Mylenda of Lafayette; his daughters, Karen Guidry and her spouse, Chad of Scott, Kathy Monroe of Scott, and Andrea Primeaux and her spouse, Larry of Lafayette; his brother, Bobray Boudreaux and his wife, Susan of Port Barre; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cyrus Boudreaux; his mother, Effie Pitre and his brother, Ronald Boudreaux.
