CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Mary Odile Lee, age 85, the former Mary Odile Bergeron, who passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:15 p.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be Noble St. Ann, I Will See You One Day, Our Father, Just a Closer Walk With Thee and Immaculate Mary.

Mrs. Lee was a native of Acadia Parish and lived most of her life in Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Carencro, where she belonged to the Sacred Heart League and the St. Anne Society. She was owner/operator of Lee's Grocery on Madeline Street in Lafayette from 1969 to 1974 and owner/operator of Lee's Hardware and Grocery in Carencro for 40 years. Mrs. Lee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Paul Lee of Carencro; one son, Kent Lee and wife, Joanna, of Carencro; one daughter, Cynthia Lee Menard and husband, Chris, of Carencro; six grandchildren, Toby Paul Lee and wife, Darlene, Spencer Lee Menard and wife, Cassie, Cory Adam Lee, Grant Edward Menard, Lance Oliver Menard and Brady Jude Lee and wife, Tina; eight great grandchildren, Alexandra Catherine Lee, Caleb Paul Lee, Caroline Catherine Lee, Maggie Mae Menard, Whitney Ann Menard, Layni Pearl Menard, Drew Lance Menard and Kayleigh Marie Menard; one brother, Joseph Hilton "Pete" Bergeron of Duson; and seven sisters, Rose Mae Rozas and husband, Albert, of Eunice, Bonnie Lee Lefrink of Lafayette; Joycelen Brown of Eunice, Mary Anne Broussard and husband, Kelly, of Basile, Anna Lee Orr and husband, Joseph, of Clinton, Eunice Ann Leger and husband, Sherwood, of Carencro and Bernice Ann Hudson and husband, Herman, of Eunice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Menelas Bergeron and the former Julia Matte; four brothers, Jacque Wilfred Bergeron, Joseph Warren Bergeron, Paul Nelson Bergeron and Melvin Ray Bergeron; and two sisters, Yvonne Bergeron Brown and Delores Kay Bergeron Conque.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Toby Lee, Spencer Menard, Cory Lee, Grant Menard, Lance Menard and Brady Lee. Honorary pallbearer will be Drew Lance Menard.
