Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 11:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Richard Dale Boutte, 46, who passed away peacefully Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pastor Ellen Cormier of Victory Family Worship Center will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his daughter, Cortney Boutte and her fiancé Shannon Breaux; one son, Corey Boutte, Sr. and his fiancé Karla Rodriguez; his wife, Michele G. Boutte; one grandchild, who was his pride and joy, Corey James "C.J." Boutte, Jr.; parents, Lester and Louella Hebert Boutte; one brother, Robert Boutte and his wife Angie; one niece, Raynette Boutte; and one nephew, Drake Boutte.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Boutte; his maternal grandparents, Olivia and Arthe Hebert; his paternal grandparents, Sterling and Lilly Boutte; and an uncle, Donald James Boutte.
Richard was born in Erath, LA, but has been a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was an outdoorsman, who loved fishing, enjoyed gardening and could build anything he put his mind to.
Richard was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, son, cousin and friend. Anyone who met him can testify of what a wonderful person he was, always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Durand Hebert, Evan Hebert, Eric Hebert, Ernie Hebert, Mike Boutte and Drake Boutte.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Boutte, Corey Boutte, Lester Boutte and Jimmy Sizemore.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boutte family to defray final expenses.
