LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11 am at St Paul Catholic Church for Harold "Johnny" John Boutte, 63, who passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence in Lafayette following a brief illness.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Robert Seay, OFM.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Harold "Johnny" John Boutte was born March 16, 1950 to Ivory Boutte, Sr and Cecilia Duhon. Johnny was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He retired in 2010 from the Lafayette Parish School Board and was working part-time at ACT. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Johnny leaves to mourn but cherish his memories his wife of 42 years, Mary L Andrus Boutte of Lafayette; daughter, Rosalyn Breaux; son, Hayward C Boutte, Sr (Ginger) of New Castle, Deleware; grandson Hayward C. Boutte, Jr; granddaughter Lakeithalyn Williams; sisters Georgiana Navarre, Mary Ann Boast (Alton), Barbara Boutte(Author Clay), Marion Jones, Roxanne Anderson, Matilda Hebert; brother Walter Anderson; brother-in-law Joseph Arceneaux; sisters-in-law, Virginia Boutte, Anna Solomon and a host of nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Ivory Boutte, Sr; mother, Cecilia Duhon Boutte; brothers, Ivory Boutte, Jr and Robert Boutte, Sr; sister, Elvina Arceneaux; brothers-in-law, George Navarre, Rogers Andrus, Sr; nieces, Helena Boutte and Janice Broussard; nephew, Ricky Boutte, S.; mother-in-law, Evelyn Andrus; paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, Dr Dibbs, Dr Brennan, Dr Cain, family and friends and Menard's Burial Vault, LLC.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm and continue Saturday from 7 am until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 9 a.m.
