Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 5, 2010 at an 11:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Rose Nell Richard, 69, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Reverend Michael Champagne will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Lindy Lopez and Phyllis Romero Kuske. Giftbearers will be Delores Stagg and Ruby Michel. Pat Melancon, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles' Wings", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", "The Lord's Prayer" and "Be Not Afraid". Floyd Domingue will give the Eulogy.Survivors include her beloved husband of 44 years, Woodley Richard , owner of Woodley's Auto Repair of Lafayette; two daughters, Tina Marks of Lafayette and Anaise Letchworth of Youngsville; one son, Brent Bearb of Rayne; eight grandchildren, Tyler Marks, Dylan Nowell, Michael Nowell, Holly Letchworth, Heather Letchworth, Heidi Roth, Cory Bearb and Jourdan Bearb; three great grandchildren, Mason Ancelet, Mazzi Grace Roth and Avalyon Roth; and one brother, Percy Leger of Duson.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Thibodeaux Leger; one brother, Chester Leger; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Treville Leger and Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Thibodeaux.A native of Bosco, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for over 44 years, Mrs. Richard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a dedicated employee at Acadiana Printing and Savoy Pixie Press for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Richard was also a member of the The Leo the Great Catholic Church Community in Lafayette. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.Pallbearers will be Woodley Richard, Brent Bearb, Chris Hebert, Dwayne Letchworth, Michael Nowell and Jourdan Bearb. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Nowell, Tyler Marks, Mason Hebert and Cullen Hebert.A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services.The family would like to give special thanks to the 5th floor nursing staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center as well as the nurses and doctors' at Hospice of Acadiana for their wonderful understanding and compassion given to Mrs. Richard and her family during their time of need.
