LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 1:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Catherine Pickler White, 84, who died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Reverend David Newton (her grandson), Pastor of Riverview Baptist Church in Alexandria, will conduct the funeral services. Eulogist will be Phyllis Aucoin. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Fuller of Lafayette, and Phyllis Aucoin and her husband Kervin of Mamou; her grandchildren, Denise C. Hoss, Kimberly C. Sneed, Rev. David Newton, Chad Newton, Kervin "T.K" Aucoin, Kenneth Aucoin, Philip Arceneaux, Stefan Arceneaux and Crystal Guidry; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Philip White; her daughter, Kathy Bourque; and her parents, Roy and Mineola Pickler.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Hoss, Alan Sneed, Chad Newton, Kenneth Aucoin, Stefan Arceneaux, Jeremiah Newton, Brandon Greenman and Noah Newton.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended from the White family to Nelda, Brandon, Elizabeth and Frank, Haywood and Angie, Gene and Jennifer, Richard, and a special thank you to Lisa Dugas for the loving support and care given to Mrs. White and for many years of friendship. Also to Heart of Hospice, especially to Shelby, Jill, Theristen and Chad, Leading Home Care, Julie, Farah, and Christie for the compassionate care given to our mother during her time of need.
