Green Rives, Jr
Austin, Texas - Green Rives, Jr, 96, of Austin, Texas, passed away June 12, 2018, in Austin. He was born September 18, 1921 in Mansfield, Louisiana. He received a B A from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
Green served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, leaving the service as a Lieutenant Colonel.
After the war, Green returned to Mansfield and began a career at Nabors Trailers, retiring in 1986 as president.
Green is survived by son Green Rives, III and his wife Beverly Younger Rives, and grandson Green Rives, IV.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Betty Smith Rives, infant daughter, sister Dr Kathleen Long Rives and parents Green Rives, Sr and Kathleen Long Rives.
Graveside services at 11:00 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana.
