SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services celebrating the life of Elizabeth "Bettie" Burns Rentz will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2008, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Officiating will be The Rev. Monsignor Earl V. Provenza, V.F.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home, with a vigil to be conducted at 5:00 p.m.
Bettie was born April 11, 1928 in Shreveport, La and passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. She was a faithful member of St. John Berchmans Cathedral. Bettie was past president of the Elk's Auxiliary Ladies Club and was a VA volunteer. Bettie retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Agriculture.
Her husband, Erin Mead Rentz, preceded Bettie in death. Left to cherish beautiful memories are her son, Erin Michael Rentz; sister-in-law, Dixie M. Burns; and nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Michelle Percival, Teresa A. Page, James Patrick Burns, III and Kenneth N. Green.
