Funeral Services for Mrs. Gloria Mae Delrio, 86, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 202 Winterpark Drive, West Monroe, LA 71292 with Pastor Bryan Laue officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Delrio was born on October 3, 1924 and passed away at the St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Monroe, LA on June 6, 2011. She was always committed to God. She was a very strong, hardworking woman who loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and changed the lives of many. Mrs. Delrio donated her time as a Hospice Volunteer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Delrio, Sr. and by her son, Joseph Delrio, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Judy Waggoner and husband, Jerry, Josephine Emme and husband, Butch, David Delrio and wife, Linda, Jimmie Arrant and husband, Bruce, Linda Thomas and husband, Jimmy, Becky Chappell and husband, Terry, Martha D. Cole and Lisa Wiggins; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Nell Crouch, Marge Myrick, Mary Mattlock and Virginia Favor.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jacob Cole, Joshua Auttonberry, Joseph Delrio, Shannon Wise, Shane Wise, and Chris Arrant.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in West Monroe, LA.
