Funeral services for Betty Sims of West Monroe will be held at Pleasant Hill Congregational Church at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022 with Rev. Michael Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Betty was born November 10, 1935 in Livingston, Tennessee and passed away January 17, 2022 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband Percy Lee Sims; son Randall Cooper Sims; parents Cooper and Lillie Parrigin; brothers Jimmy Parrigin, Karry Parrigin, Charles Parrigin; sisters Marie Qualls, Fay Vetrano and Pamela Parrigin. Betty worked at State Farm until retirement July 1994 and was a member of Pleasant Hill Congregational Church.

Betty is survived by daughter Alma Renee Dewey and husband Curtis; daughter-in-law Penny Sims; step-son Donnie Sims and wife Anita; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.; brothers Larry Parrigin and wife Fay, Tony Parrigin and wife Nancy; sisters Wanda Henson, Teresa Blackburn and husband Red; numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Dewey, Justin Dewey, Lee Sims, Anthony Sims, Garrett Boudreaux and Dillion Diaz.

Serving as honorary pallbearer Jake Dewey.
