CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette for Morris Landor, age 71, who passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, LA.


Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Sebastian Myladiyil, SVD, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary, will officiate at the services.


Mr. Landor was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette. He was employed with BFI Waste Management for nearly a decade.


Survivors include one son, Phillip Alexander of Lafayette; one sister, Anna Lee Reaux and her husband, Calvin of Lafayette; three grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Dora Landor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Landor, Sr. and the former, Angela Cyprien; and two brothers, Joseph Landor, Jr. and Laufay Landor.


A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church from 7:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.


Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
