Shell E Dillon, 61, a resident of the Star Hill Community near Franklington, Louisiana passed away at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 1957 in the Tylertown Hospital. The son of Lafitte and Junnie M Chalender Dillon. The remains will lie in state in the family home until time for the last rites at 2 pm today in the Star Hill Baptist Church near Warnerton. Rev Jim Stuart will officiate and burial will take place in Star Hill Cemetery with the Brown Funeral Home in charge of final arrangements.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs Dille Burch Dillon; daughters, Essie L Smith, Talullah, Louisiana, Effie Dunaway, Franklinton, Louisiana Eva Pham of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Amy Boudion of New Iberia, Louisiana and Mary Abadie of Baton Rouge;son, S E Dillon, Jr of New Iberia, Louisiana and eight grandchildren.
