Marie Miller Johnson, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on August 13, 2013. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Forest Park Cemetery.
Marie was born in Gilmer, Texas on December 15, 1914. She was preceded in death by her parents Edd Dalton Miller and Molly Childress Miller, her husband Ernest B. Johnson, daughter Virginia Ogle Oliver, grandson Robert Ernest Ellis, stepson Richard L. Johnson and wife Joan. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Elizabeth Ogle Disiere and stepson Ernest Lloyd Johnson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Gail Verbois and husband Gregg; Robin Elizabeth Ellis; Mary Babcock Oliver and grandsons, John Paul Oliver and Michael Ray Ellis; great grandchildren, Michael Bridges Sandifer, Sarah Elizabeth Sandifer, Mary Ellison Sewell, Frances Grace Byrd, Jessica Marie Ragan and husband Justin and great great grandchild Jackson Ragan.
As an avid traveler, "Mimi" journeyed to Europe, Canada, Mexico and throughout the United States. However, more importantly Mimi cherished her time fishing with her grandchildren at her camp on Lake Bistineau. After her husband's death she enjoyed working at the family business, Johnson Electric Motor and Manufacturing Company.
Mimi lived a wonderful life and will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Special thanks to the staff at Live Oak East Wing, Dr. Dan Moller, WK Hospice, and Bill Robinson.
