Killed In Action
He enlisted on June 25, 1943, Serial Number 3839256. He was assigned to a B-24 Liberator, aircraft #44-41296, Call sign "Red F" as a waist gunner. The aircraft was shot down while "bombing rail facilities and rolling stock to support the advance of Russion and Romanian forces in the Balkins." After an investigation by the US Army Air Forces, it was determined Sergeant Robertson was Missing In Action and subsequently a "Finding of Death" was issued.
