Sister Sadie Mae Thomas made the transition from her Earthly home to her heavenly home Friday, July 6, 2012 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center's Butterfly Wing. She was 86. Visiting at Roscoe's Mortuary, 58635 Meriam Street, Plaquemine, Friday, July 13, 1 pm until Family Gathering at Monroe J Roscoe Chapel 6 pm to 8 pm. Visitation resumes at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, 58830 Iron Farm Road, Plaquemine, Saturday, July 14 from 9 am until religious service at 11 am, conducted by Pastor Lee T Wesley. Interment in Homestead Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory sons Lester and wife Joyce Thomas, Baton Rouge and Christopher Thomas, Plaquemine; sisters, Helena Hill, Oakland, California and Cora Taylor, Los Angeles, California, Mary Graves, Monroe, Louisiana, Lunda Thomas, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Denise Thomas, Natchez, Mississippi; brothers Kernell Brown, Oakland, Louis and wife Annie Brown, Plaquemine, Hillary and wife Pamela Thomas, and Lavern Thomas, all of Minneapolis; former daughter-in-law, Zelotes Thomas-Willis; 8 grand -children and 12 great-grandchildren.
