Funeral services for Mrs Shirley M Hilliard, 72, of Clayton, Louisiana will be held Sunday, January 26, 2020 at St Mark Baptist Church in Clayton. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Pastor Kevin Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday evening 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs Hilliard, daughter of Louis and Margaret Johnson Webster was born in Lettsworth, Louisiana and died at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was a retired cook for Ferriday Lower Elementary School for twenty five years. She was a excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family, students, neighbors and friends.
She is survived by children, Michael Johnson; Joseph Watson and wife Wanda; Pamela Thompson and husband Gregory all of Clayton; Robert Johnson and wife Tonya; Sharon Mayse and husband Eddie all of Ferriday; brother Louis Webster, Jr of Ferriday; sister Louise Barnes Howard of Natchez, Mississippi; twenty seven grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. Also her husband, Andrew Hilliard of Clayton. Mrs Hilliard is preceded in death by her parents.
