Funeral services for Mr P D Roach, 88, of Bernice will be held 10 am Thursday at Mt Patrick Baptist Church near Bernice. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr Roach, a retired carpenter, died Tuesday. He was a deacon and song leader of Mt Patrick Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are wife of 57 years Inez Adkins Roach; daughter Judy Roach Patterson; parents Parvin and Lillian Roach and son-in-law, Dr Paul Pennington.
Survivors include daughter Dr Virginia Pennington of Ruston; Grandchild Jennifer Joy Roach of Irving, Texas, Brother A B Roach of Alexandria,nephew: Ronnie Blake Roach of Bernice, son-in-law John L Patterson of Bernice, And a host of friends.
Pallbearers Bobby Kelley, Jimmy Pilgreen, Jackie Green, Bobby Green, Frank Pennington and Darrell White.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St Jude’s or Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
