Services for Lula Lucille Greene Armstead, 70, of Queens Village, NY formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00am from Union Baptist Church in Vidalia. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery with Rev. Dave Mays officiating. Mrs. Armstead, daughter of Betty Lee Greene was born in Monterey, LA and died at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Armstead of Queens Village, NY; fourteen siblings, Jean Cleveland, William Cleveland, Erma Greene all of Queens Village; Ruth Brown of Mobile, AL; Ina Rea Hill of Houma, LA; Robert Greene of Flint, MI; Samuel Hill, Jr., Cyrus Greene, Charles Greene all of Vidalia, LA; Shelia Promise, Betty Bindon, Patricia Greene and Weldon Greene all of Ferriday, LA; George Skipper of Houston, TX; Jesse Hill of New Orleans; two grandsons; five brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; one step daughter, seven nephews, seven nieces; two aunts, Betty Addison of Jena, LA and Viola Green of Clayton, LA; one uncle, L.C. Addison of Flint, MI; god mother, Vergie Washington. She is preceded in death by her mother, and a son, Clinton Trask.
