Services for Mary Lyles Anderson, 85, of Ferriday, who died Nov. 29, 2015, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, LA will be Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Theodore Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA. Visitation will be from 4-6PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Natchez, MS, the daughter of Jack and Evelina Williams Lyles.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Retar "Leto" Anderson; one son, Willie White; a daughter, Georgia White.
Survivors include one son, James White, Jr. (Deloyd) of Ferriday, LA; two daughters, Marie Yearby (Willie) of Vidalia, LA and Alberta White of Ferriday; one brother, Charles Lyles of Ferriday, LA; four sisters, Carrie Lyles, Evelina Cage, Margaret Jones, Surnetta Cage, all of Vidalia; one step-daughter, Rose Anderson of Ferriday; one half-sister, Adesta Stevenson of Ferriday; two sisters-in-law, Inell Lyles, Natchez, MS and Melvin Bloodsaw of Jonesville, LA; nineteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
