A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 12, 2013, 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Mr. Joseph Ransom “Sonny Boy” Malveaux, Sr. 77. He will be buried in Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Hampton Davis will be the celebrant.

A native and resident of Lafayette Mr. Malveaux passed away on October 9, 2013 at OLOL Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Dominic Malveaux, Sr. and Odelia Parker Malveaux.

Left to cherish his memories is two sons, Joseph (Bridget) Malveaux, Jr. of Carencro, LA Timothy (Annette) Malveaux of Scott, LA; three daughters, Jennifer (Thomas, Jr.) Meche of Carencro, LA, Stephanie (Lorenzo) Land of Scott, LA, Roxanne Malveaux of Lafayette, LA; two brothers, Anthony Malveaux of Lafayette, LA, Dominic (Rita) Malveaux, Jr. of Conroe, TX; one sister, Norma Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Mae Breaux Malveaux, his parents, one brother Donald Malveaux, one granddaughter Hannah Malveaux.
