Parks - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Chapel for Jevon Sonnier, 16, who died September 4, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Services will be conducted by Father Donovan Labbe’.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, LA.

Jevon Markeethon Sonnier, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Frank Sonnier, was born on March 25, 2001 in Lafayette, LA. He was a student at Breaux Bridge High School. He was a faithful altar server at St. Louis Chapel in Parks. He was a member of the Focus Group with Parks Community and loved serving his community. His passion was basketball, horses, chickens and hanging with friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Frank and Ernestine Sonnier; his brothers, John Narcisse, Jr. of Parks, LA, Frank Sonnier, Jr. and Joshua Sonnier of Lafayette, LA; his nephew, Jorrian Narcisse of St. Martinville, LA; his niece, Jahlani Sonnier of Lafayette, LA; paternal grandparents, Warren and Lovenia Sonnier of Lafayette, LA; aunts, Augustine (Bryant) Prejean of Parks, LA, Bonnie (Isaac) Sonnier Thompson of Abbeville, LA; uncles, Felix Wiltz and Charles Wiltz of Parks, LA, Timothy (Glenda) Sonnier of Lafayette, LA, Keith (Wendy) Sonnier of Lafayette, LA; Godmother, Della Jean Batiste of Breaux Bridge, LA.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Louella Wiltz; his parrain, Glen Edwards.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Louis Chapel from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
