Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Frances Ann Dean Prejean, 64, who passed away on November 16, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Lambert will officiate the service.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 42 years Stephen Prejean, Sr.. Two sons Elliot Dean, Sr. and wife Angela of Florida, and Stephen Prejean, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Colorado. Five grandchildren Elliot Dean, Jr., Stephen Prejean, III, Robert Prejean, Amber Prejean, and Tyler Prejean. One great-grand daughter Abriana Dean. Her father Dalton Dean, Sr.. Five sisters Anna Dean (Chester) Boudreaux, Loretta Dean, Linda (Donald) Davis, Rita M. Dean, and Sandra (Norman) Arceneaux. Six brothers Roy (Joann) Dean, Dalton (Julia) Dean, Jr., Eddie Dean, Sr. John Allen Dean, Aaron (Darnisha) Dean and Randy (Roslyn) Dean, Sr.. Two sisters-in-law Herly (Billy) Zenon and Mary Ann Anderson. Three brothers-in-law Curley Prejean, Junius Prejean, and Murphy Prejean and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rita Willis Dean. Her mother-in-law Lorena Clay Prejean, and her father-in-law Wallace Prejean.
Viewing will be Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 8:00 AM until the time of service at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
