LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Preston Joseph Thibeaux, Sr.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Preston Joseph Thibeaux, Sr. was born on August 16, 1946 in Youngsville, LA to Alphonse Thibeaux and Ida Obey Thibeaux.
Preston Thibeaux, Sr. was the owner of Thibeaux's Construction. He died on October 13, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center with his family at his side.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Choyce Benjamin Thibeaux; six sons, Mark Thibeaux (Kathy) of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Morgan (Jolene) of Duson, LA, Marcus Thibeaux, Adam Thibeaux, Blake Thibeaux and Duston Thibeaux, all of Breaux Bridge, LA; four daughters, Patrice Thibeaux (Calvin) of Breaux Bridge, LA, Delsia Thibeaux Lavergne (Wendell) of Lawtell, LA, Paula Thibeaux, Pauline Thibeaux (Lawrence) of Breaux Bridge, LA; one daughter-in-law, Demise Moore Thibeaux; one sister, Verna Mae Thibeaux Thomas of Houston, TX; 27 grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and Jane Langston, a good friend.
He was preceded in death by his son, Preston Joseph Thibeaux, Jr.; his first grandson, Randy James Thibeaux; his parents, Alphonse and Ida Thibeaux; one brother, Adam Thibeaux and his grandparents, Felix and Regina Thibeaux.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue Friday from 7 a.m. until time of service.
