Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Ericka Lynn Jones, 38, who was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Hampton Davis, III, Pastor.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Left to cherish her memories as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and cousin are her father, Rickey James Smith Sr.; stepmother, Annette Smith; two brothers, Rickey James Smith Jr. and Zekiah Rico Smith; one sister, Zanna Markelle Smith; grandmother, Marion Jones and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ericka was preceded in death by her mother, Debra Faye Smith; two uncles, Troy Jones and Tracey Jones; two aunts, Dianna Jones and Ceola Martin and her paternal grandparents, Mary Catherine Smith and Joseph Melvin Smith Sr.

Pallbearers will be Keithen Felix, Traven Griffin, Michael Smith Jr., Lionel Dugas, Kenneth Martin and Rickey James Smith Jr.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
