Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Ann R. Ogbebor, 62, who died on Thursday, July 4, 2013.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Ann R. Ogbebor was born November 22, 1950. Mary Ann spent most of her life giving back to her family, friends, and community. For 36 years she taught in and was active in both the private and public school systems.
She is survived by a husband Festus; two sons, Nosakhare and Edosa; two sisters, Mary Agnes Babineaux and Mary Lee Rodgers (Bernard); six brothers, Alfred and Perry Babineaux, Ramsey Charles (Mary), Donald Rae Charles, Raymond Charles (Prunella), Michael Roy (Gertrude); a special sister-in-law, Jessie Mae Charles; a special cousin, Mary Lee Williams and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother: Matilda Arceneaux; her parents, Addley and Theresa Roy; a brother, Shirley Babineaux and a sister, Mary Lou Babineaux.
Viewing will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5:00 to 9:00pm. and continue Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. until time of service.
